Trull v Timberscombe May 30 2009
A devastating spell of bowling by Rob Golding blew away the Trull
batting to set up a 111 run victory for the visitors.
On a warm and sunny afternoon Trull invited Timberscombe to bat. They
looked to have made a good decision when the score was 62 for 4 off 20
overs. However, Timberscombe opener Bruce Lang had other ideas. Having
taken over 10 overs to score his first run, patience paid off as he
managed to to carry the innings with a score of 67. Ably supported by
Tom Sparks and Matt Bowden, the innings closed on 159 for 8.
The Trull innings never got going as Rob Golding set about the top
order. With pace and swing he was fairly unplayable at times. All of
his wickets were bowled and included a hat trick. He went on to finish
with figures of 13 for 7.
